The virtues of Ghairavi Sharif

Translation Desk

Just as Huzoor Ghaus-e-A’zam is unique, the virtues of his Ghayarvi Sharif are also indescribable. Reciting Ghayarvi Sharif of Ghaus-e-Pak is in fact a means of obtaining the mercy of Allah Ta’ala, the blessings of the honored prophets and saints, and their good looks. [Manaqib-e-Ghausiya, Qalaidul Jawahir]

First virtue-
Shah Wali Ullah Muhaddis Dehlvi narrates from the Maktabaat of Muzahere Jana Jana’, he says, I saw in my dream a high place where many saints were sitting in a circle and meditating. Among them, I saw Hazrat Bahauddin Naqshband and Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi (may Allah have mercy on them) sitting reclining. They were in a state of rapture in the contemplation of Allah. I said to them, “Is this your affair?” One of them said, “I am going to receive Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).” There was a man with Hazrat Ali, who was wearing a shawl. I said, “Who is this?” The reply was, “He is Hazrat Wais Qarni (may Allah be pleased with him).” Then all the saints entered a chamber where the light of Allah was radiating. One of them said, “Today, the Ghayarvi Sharif of Ghaus-e-Pak is being celebrated. These saints are coming to attend it.” [Kalima Tayyiba, by Shah Wali Ullah Dehlvi]

Second Virtue-
Hazrat Maulana Wahid Qadari has narrated in his book ‘Milad-e-Shaykh’ that the virtues and perfections of Ghayarvi Sharif are countless. The person among us who regularly observes Ghairavi Sharif with certainty has no shortage. At the same time, he also improves in spirituality.

Third virtue-
A person was saved from hell by the blessings of Ghairavi Sharif and went to heaven; even the fire of the pyre could not burn him. Maulana Qari Emat Alvi Qadari narrates that in Burhanpur, Hindustan, near our house, there was a Hindu devotee of Gause Pak. He used to prepare food on the 11th of every month and offer it to Ghairavi Sharif of Gause Pak and distribute it among the poor and needy. When that person died, the Hindus took him to the crematorium to burn him according to their custom. They tried very hard to burn him with fire. But the fire did not burn him. In desperation, the Hindus floated him in a river. Meanwhile, Huzoor Ghause Pak instructed a dervish in a dream: ‘In such and such a place, a Hindu secretly converted to Islam at the hands of my children. He was deeply in love with Islam and secretly joined my Qadaria order. Now he has died. You go and make arrangements for his shroud and burial.’ That dervish came to Burhanpur in Hindustan, collected the body and buried it in the Islamic order.

Fourth virtue-
In the Ghairavi Sharif, there is a reflection of the promise of Ghairavi Pak, which Allah Almighty gave him – ‘I will not imprison any of your disciples in the fire of this world or the Hereafter.’

Fifth virtue-
Ghairavi Pak is the guarantor for the protection of those who will observe Ghairavi Sharif. In the booklet ‘Haqiq-e-Zindagi’, which has been authenticated by Shamsul Haq Deobandi Afghani, it is mentioned – Huzoor Ghairavi Pak radiyallahu ta’ala anhu hasani and husaini. He has acquired unique spiritual power due to these two luminous virtues. Under this influence, he brought back to life the newlyweds and the bridegroom, who had been drowning for several years, from the Tigris River, whose bodies had been scattered in pieces. Gausse Pak was able to do all this because he had the blessings of Faiz Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. This incident is mentioned in a famous and authentic book.
The name of the newlywed was Kabiruddin, published as ‘Shah Dulha’. His tomb is located in Gujarat, Punjab province of Pakistan. He lived for six hundred years due to the prayers of Huzoor Gausse Pak.
In an issue of the sixth virtue monthly ‘Astana-e-Delhi’ (1954), it is mentioned that Ranjit Singh was a powerful ruler during the reign of the Sikhs in Lahore. A Hindu family was a devotee of Gausse Pak and Ghairavi Sharif. A neighboring Kharijite with bad beliefs cast an evil eye on the Hindu’s wife and was looking for an opportunity. Once the Hindu was going to his in-laws’ house with his wife. The Kharijite, on hearing the news, ran after them on his horse. He went to the forest and met them. The Hindu and his wife were walking on foot. Then the man with bad beliefs said to the Hindu, “Put your wife on my horse.” The Hindu man did not agree to this. The Kharijite started pressuring the woman, “Why do you have to go on foot with all this difficulty? Get on my horse.” But the woman did not agree either. When the Kharijite kept pressing the woman, the Hindu man said, “What is your guarantee? If you take my wife and go somewhere else. “Provide someone as a guarantor for this.” Then the man with bad faith said, “Where can I find a guarantor in this forest?” Then the woman said, “The great Pir of Ghairavi Sharif will be your guarantor.” At this, the Kharezi agreed. The woman mounted the horse and sat behind the Kharezi. Then the Kharezi drew his sword, killed the Hindu and started running away with his wife. Then the woman looked back repeatedly. Then the Kharezi said, “What do you see behind you? Your husband has been killed.” Then the Hindu woman said, “I am looking at the great Pir. Is he coming or not?” The Kharezi said sadly, “The great Pir died several hundred years ago. Can that great Pir help you?” Some
